The default site theme is blue, refer to screenshot below.
The blue theme can be tiresome. WSS 3.0 provides many other choices for site themes. Site administrators will be able to change their site theme by clicking on site actions, and then click on site settings.
On site settings, under Look and Feel, click on site themes.
On site themes, you will be able to select on any available themes and it will show in preview space. We are going to select on theme verdant, and then click apply.
You will be directed back to site settings, where the site theme has changed. Click on the home tab, to open the home page.
